Supabets Data Free: The App and How to Get It

Supabets calls its app data free on its own download page, and you can get it on an Android phone as an APK file straight from Supabets or on an iPhone from the Apple App Store. The Huawei AppGallery version is still listed as coming soon. This page shows you where to get the app, how the install works, what the app carries, what the welcome offer asks of you and what to check before you rely on it to save your data.

Offers and terms change, so check any figure in the app before you rely on it.

What data free means on Supabets

Supabets’ download page says “Download our data-free app to your mobile device and place your next bet today”, so on Supabets the data free product is the app. The same page also lists “Light data use” among the app’s features, and none of the Supabets pages says which parts of the app cost you no data, which networks carry it or whether it opens when your airtime and data are at zero.

Datafree, a South African data free platform, says the services on it are reverse billed, which means the company pays the network for the data instead of you, and that they stay reachable when you have zero airtime or data. Supabets does not say which platform its app runs on, or whether its app works the same way. Our guide to how data free betting works explains the rest.

Download the Supabets app on Android, iPhone and Huawei

Supabets’ download page has a button for each kind of phone. Download for Android gives you a direct APK file, Download on the App Store opens the iPhone app’s listing, and the Huawei button, Get it on AppGallery, is marked coming soon. Supabets explains that real money gambling apps are not available on the Google Play Store, so Android users download the APK from its page instead.

A Google Play search for Supabets from South Africa does bring up apps with Supabets in the name, but they come from other developers, and none is published by Portapa 2 (Pty) Ltd, the company behind Supabets and its App Store app. Get the APK only from the Download for Android button on Supabets’ own download page.

Android: a direct APK download from the Download for Android button on Supabets’ download page.
iPhone: Supabets Mobile on the Apple App Store, free to download, sold by Portapa 2 (Pty) Ltd and first released on 9 September 2026.
Huawei: listed as coming soon on the Huawei AppGallery.

Installing the Supabets APK on Android

Supabets gives three steps for Android, and because the APK comes from its site rather than the Play Store, your phone may ask for your permission before it installs.

Tap the Download for Android banner on Supabets’ download page and download the app file, which ends in .apk.
Install it when your phone prompts you. If it will not install, Supabets says to turn on Allow Unknown Sources in your device settings and try again, and you can turn it off once the app is in.
Open the app from your home screen, where Supabets says it should appear once it has installed.

Installing the Supabets app on iPhone

The iPhone app is called Supabets Mobile on the Apple App Store. Its listing gives version 1.0, a 17+ age rating and iOS 15.0 or later, and the App Store banner on Supabets’ download page links straight to it.

Tap the App Store banner on Supabets’ download page to open the Supabets Mobile listing.
Tap Get and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple ID password.
Open the app from your home screen once it has installed.

What the Supabets app carries

Supabets’ download page puts sports betting and its Play Vegas games together in the one app, with Cash Out on your bets and the full Play Vegas suite of Aviator and other quick games, slots, table games and Live Tables with a real dealer. Supabets’ FAQ counts “50 000+ pre-match and 15 000+ live events”, and Supanumbers, Supabets’ numbers betting, sits in the same menu as Sports and Play Vegas.

Sports betting: pre-match and live markets on local and international leagues, with Cash Out to secure a payout before your bet is settled.
Supanumbers: Supabets’ numbers betting, which has its own set of Supanumbers terms.
Play Vegas: Aviator, crash games, slots, table games and Live Tables with a real dealer.

Supabets also lists live sports streaming among the app’s features. None of its pages says whether streaming, the Play Vegas games or any other part of the app is data free, so treat video and games as using your data until your own balance shows otherwise, and watch matches on wifi if your bundle is low.

Low data games on Supabets

Google’s results in July 2026 listed a “Low Data Casino Games” page on Supabets’ old site, gaming.supabets.co.za, but when we opened it in September 2026 it showed “No games found”. On the new site, Supabets’ download page calls Aviator and its other quick games data-saving rather than data free, so check your balance after a session.

Which networks it works on

Supabets’ pages name no network for its data free app, and the only coverage line we found is Datafree’s general one, “all major South African networks”, which names none. On any network, including a smaller one or a new SIM, note your data balance, open the app, place a small bet and check the balance again before you count on it.

How to log in and sign up

Supabets’ login screen takes your username, email address or phone number with your password. Use the Supabets account you already have rather than opening a second one, because Supabets’ general terms say it may close accounts where one person holds more than one.

Already registered: open the app and log in with your usual Supabets details.
New: tap Create Account on the login screen and give a username, your ID or passport number, your first and last name, phone number, email address and a password, and Supabets then texts a one-time PIN to your phone to confirm the account.
Forgotten password: tap Forgot Password? on the login screen.

Supabets’ general terms ask for proof of identity, age and residence under FICA. Its FAQ says to send a copy of your ID and a proof of residence no older than 3 months to its FICA email address or WhatsApp line, and FICA has to be done before your first withdrawal.

Placing your first bet

Supabets’ FAQ gives these steps for a first sports bet:

Open the Supabets data free app and find the match through the menu, by sport, then league, then game.
Tap the outcome you want to back, such as the home team to win.
Open Bet Slip at the bottom of the screen and enter your stake. Once the R50 sign-up bonus is in your account, this is where you choose to use it.
Tap Continue and keep the Bet ID from the confirmation in case you need to query the bet later.

The Supabets welcome offer

Supabets’ promotions page lists a Welcome Bundle for new accounts: a R50 free bet, 100 free spins on two selected Habanero games and up to R5,000 in deposit bonuses spread over your first 3 deposits.

R50 free bet: for new sign-ups only, and Supabets’ general terms say it must be rolled over 5 times at minimum odds of 11/10, which comes to R250 of bets.
Third deposit bonus: 100% of your third deposit up to R2,000, played ten times at odds of 14/10 or better in single sports bets within 15 days, with withdrawable winnings capped at R3,000. Voucher deposits do not qualify.

Worked example: make a R2,000 third deposit and bet it first, because Supabets shows the bonus only once the real money deposited has been played. Supabets then adds a R2,000 bonus, and played ten times that comes to R20,000 of single sports bets at 14/10 or better, all inside 15 days, with R3,000 the most you can withdraw from its winnings. The promotions page lists the first deposit bonus as 100% up to R2,000 as well, and the second deposit carries a smaller bonus, so read the terms of each one before you pay in.

Worth knowing: the third deposit bonus terms say your first withdrawal of bonus money is paid only by EFT, to the Supabets account holder’s own bank account.

Outside the welcome offer, the promotions page lists Early Cash Out, which secures a payout before your bet is settled, and 10% cashback.

Deposits and withdrawals

Supabets’ FAQ lists voucher deposits with Supabets, OTT, 1Voucher, Blu and Kazang vouchers, which you buy at a Supabets store or a selected retailer and redeem under Deposit in your account. Withdrawals go out by Cardless OTP to an FNB eWallet, Standard Bank Instant Money or Supabets OTP, by a 1ForYou voucher or by EFT to your bank.

FNB eWallet: up to R2,500 a day.
Standard Bank Instant Money: up to R5,000 a day.
Monthly limit: up to R25,000 a month on Cardless OTP withdrawals.
Speed: e-wallet withdrawals take an estimated 30 to 60 minutes, every withdrawal goes through an audit with pay-outs processed within 24 hours, and an EFT can take 1 to 3 working days to reach your bank.

Supabets sends eWallet PINs to the cell number on your account, so keep that number up to date. Supabets does not say whether paying in or taking money out inside the app uses data, so make your first deposit on wifi or check your balance afterwards.

Is Supabets a licensed bookmaker

Yes. Supabets’ footer says it is regulated by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, licence 9-2-1-00055, and that it is run by Portapa 2 (Pty) Ltd. The National Gambling Board’s list of verified operators, drawn from the provincial licensing authorities and last updated on 4 September 2026, lists Supabets in Mpumalanga as a bookmaker. You have to be 18 or over to open an account.

The National Gambling Board says bets can be placed on horse racing and sport with licensed bookmakers, and that licensed bookmakers are found in every province.

Support and responsible gambling tools

Supabets’ download page promises a contact centre open 24/7/365. Its help centre offers email to support@supabets.co.za, a phone call or a callback, and gives typical response times of 5 minutes for email, straight away for a call and 24 hours for a callback. Live Support also sits in Supabets’ menu.

If you need a break, email support@supabets.co.za with the length of time you want and Supabets will disable your betting account for that period, after which you can log in again. The National Responsible Gambling Programme, run by the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation, has a free 24-hour counselling line on 0800 006 008 and a WhatsApp line on 076 675 0710.

Who Supabets data free suits

The Supabets app suits you if you bet on sport, Supanumbers or Aviator from an Android phone or an iPhone and want your data bundle to last longer. Installing the APK on Android is a one-time step, and on an iPhone the App Store does the install for you.

On a Huawei phone the AppGallery version is still coming. If you mainly want to stream matches or play slots, check your data balance before and after, because Supabets does not say those parts are data free.

Other data free bookmakers

Supabets is one of six South African bookmakers we found running a data free app or website:

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Supabets data free app for iPhone

Yes. Supabets Mobile is on the Apple App Store, and Supabets’ download page says it is available now. Supabets does not say which parts of the app are data free, so check your balance after your first session.

Why is the app not on the Google Play Store

Supabets says real money gambling apps are not available on the Google Play Store, so Android users download the APK from its own download page. The Play Store apps with Supabets in the name come from other developers, not from Portapa 2 (Pty) Ltd.

Is it safe to install the app file

Download the APK from Supabets’ own download page, not from Google Play or another site. If your phone blocks the install, Supabets says to turn on Allow Unknown Sources and to turn it off again once the app is installed.

What does the Supabets app cover data free

Supabets does not publish a list of what is data free. The app carries sports betting with Cash Out, Supanumbers and the Play Vegas games, so check your balance after using each part, and treat live streaming as using data.

Which networks does it work on

Supabets names no network. Write down your data balance, open the app and place a small bet, then look at the balance again to see whether the bet cost you any data.

Do I need a new account for the app

No. You log in with your existing Supabets account, using your username, email address or phone number.

Can I play Aviator on the Supabets app

Yes. Aviator is part of the Play Vegas suite in the app, and Supabets calls it a data-saving game rather than a data free one, so check your balance after you play.

What is the Supabets welcome offer

A R50 free bet, 100 free spins on two Habanero games and up to R5,000 in deposit bonuses over your first 3 deposits. The R50 free bet must be rolled over 5 times at odds of 11/10 or more.

How fast are Supabets withdrawals

Supabets estimates 30 to 60 minutes for e-wallet withdrawals and says every withdrawal goes through an audit, with pay-outs processed within 24 hours. An EFT to your bank can take 1 to 3 working days to reflect.

Is Supabets licensed

Yes. Supabets’ footer gives the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator and licence 9-2-1-00055, and the National Gambling Board’s verified operators list includes Supabets in Mpumalanga as a bookmaker.
